In terms of inspiring to rock out and play guitar like the shredder I am lol I would have to say Pantera's "Best of" album "Far Beyond The Great Southern Cowboys Vulgar Hits" because I've got favorites from each of their albums so I can't pick one album. lol But Pantera as a whole was a HUGE influence for me many years ago. lol Then years later I heard Satriani's "Always With Me, Always With You" (By accident on MTV) and I fell in LOVE! So "Surfing With The Alien" too helped me immensely in continuing to play. Cesar! Cover Always With Me, Always With You!!!!!! lol

A tough one, it depends on your age. Too many choices. All these were influences on me in some shape or other.
Soloists ---------- Satriani - Flying in a Blue Dream & The Extremist. I so love Cesar's 'The Extremist' cover. WOuld love to hear Flying.... and 'New Blues' as covers too. Vai - Warfare & Passion. Cesar - cover Blue Powder! George Lynch - Sacred Groove, still think Cesar should cover Tierra Del Fuego.
'Metal' ----------------------------- Dokken - Back for the Attack. Still love the solo to 'Kiss of Death' and 'Heaven Sent'. Even though they are 20+ years old the solo's sound as current as anything out there. LynchMob - Wicked Sensation or LynchMob. Lynch's tone and phrasing is incredible...would love to see if Cesar could capture that wicked, angry Lynch tone. White Lion - Pride. Vito Bratta is sorely missed, what a player he was. His tribute song to SRV was pretty good too. Black Label Society - Sonic Brew & Blessed Hellride Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows (this guy is seriously talented...) Soundgarden - Superunknown Ozzy - No More Tears (maybe Zakk's best solo on title song) Stone Temple Pilots - Purple GnR - Appetite for Destruction Metallica - Master of Puppets & the 'Black' album. Always love playing 'Sandman' riff... Slayer - South of Heaven Van Halen - just about anything with Dave, selected others with Sammy, none with Gary. I still love playing the intro to Panama. But either way, Eddie's the Man! Fave solo is 'House of Pain'.
other/rock ------------------- Gypsy Kings - the album with 'inspiration' on it. Beautiful song. Gary Moore - Still got the Blues Buddy Guy - d**n Right I've Got the Blue. Love his attack and depth of feeling. Love his tribute song to SRV, and SRV was an admirer of Buddy. Try to catch this song if you havent heard it. No-one plays the blues like these guys... Hendrix - Are you experienced. Havent we all covered at least 2-3 of these songs? Marillion(!) - Misplaced Childhood. Just listen to 'Blind Curve', a 9-minute epic.
and finally Pink Floyd - Dark Side or Wish You Were Here. Havent we all played 'Wish you Were Here' or 'Breathe'....?

Most inspiring....Not really an album, but I had a live recording on cassette, of I believe "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol of course, that was taped off "Westwood One" but Steve Stevens was absolutely unreal on that recording. A few of my friends and I couldn't get enough of it, then one day I was cleaning out my car and got a bit too close to the tape with the vacuum and it sucked the tape right out of the cassette. It was a moment that I can remember like it was yesterday.
Also, all Steve Vai albums. I especially like "Flexable" for reasons I do not know. All Satriani albums All "Rush" albums All Zeppelin albums All "ratt" albums And tons more 80's rock albums.

Not playing much anymore, but, influences: All Jimi, specially, In The West, specifically Voodoo Chile & Red House Robin Trower, bout 75% of our playlist! Captain Beyond, all! Rush, ALL! Alex is awesome Zappa! Gamalon, a local band in my neck of the woods, Cesar reminds me of their early lead axeman, George Puleo! Any Gilmore, With or without Floyd Budgie, any of you out there here of these guys? Blue Oyster! Many more! Then of course, newer pioneers, Vai, Malmsteem, Lynch, VanHalen, Clark, Petrucci, etc, who all pretty much shattered my dreams of being the best,,,, arrrgggg!! Good luck with the site, Cesar! Just waiting to put your CD in my IPOD!!! I'll be here daily. Guess I gotta figure out a little Spanglish! I know one,,, HOLA

I'd like to see Cesar play "touching tongues"!!

Actually Alex may be one of ..if not thee most underated guitarists ever. If you think about his awesome style, and all the great guitar on every album for the past 30-35 years or so its absolutely amazing! Just thinking about the solo in "Working man" gives me the chills. Not playing much anymore, but, influences: All Jimi, specially, In The West, specifically Voodoo Chile & Red House Robin Trower, bout 75% of our playlist! Captain Beyond, all! Rush, ALL! Anything by George Lynch: LynchMob - Lynchmob Dokken - Back for the Attack Best tone ever! Cesar please play something by George! If you want to cover all time greats, he has to be up there. How about Mr Scary, or I Remember.
Otherwise, Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd. Absolute genius of phrasing.
