This is a question I wrote on VAI.com but never had a good reply... Anyway, why does almost anybody prefer the pro low or the edge pro bridge instead the Wilkinson GOTO with sperzel locks? it's easier to tune and to put new strings, it does the same crazy preformance and it looks nicer. ThanXalot if you can light my eyes .

i do not have a real answer to this, but i would say it's because most people have not tried the Edge Pro, Lo Pro, and Wilkinson GOTO with Sperzel locks side by side. And though there may be some systems more popular than others, it's hard to say one system is necessarily better than the other because so much of it lies in the preferences of the individual. You can't call Gibson necks better than Ibanez neck just because you personally like them more, and visa versa. Some people may come up on the Edge Pro or the Wilkinson or OFR and the feel of that particular trem is what becomes the most natural to them therefore they like it the most.
