Just bought a Pod xt live yesterday, had a fiddle with it last night before reading the instructions and was very dissapointed.. after skimming through the manual my first impressions were quickly thrown out the window. Anyone here have a pod xt live and if so, any handy hints you've found whilst mucking around with it? and also any nice presets you've come up with.. Cheers!!

i own one... i wasnt that really dissapointed with mine first, i came from a digitech rp12 that really wasnt that good, i really heard the diference, but i espected more... by the way, you must know that factory presets suck! you need to start tweeking the thing to get better results... for me, the Agro tone is the best, when is stock... but if you want to get all the juice from the pod, you need the metalshop pack! there are more amps, with pretty decent sound! the secret of the POD and all the modelers is...Tweek! and Tweek! you may find hard to get a holly grail tone, but you´ll notice that you will be using a preset that you are compfortable, and then in the lack of 1 day or month you´ll be modifying that tone, and again and again till you get your own sound. that its very satisfactory. TIPS: -Try to emuate the tone of your favorite guitarrist or so -move or tweek alot the amps, pedals, efects, etc. the most -try to explore different settings -add compresor to add mor volume, if necessary -add the equalizer to get more tone variations any more questions, just ask hope to help J.Mesta
