Ok, heres the thing.. a few months ago i bought what is probably the cheapest acoustic guitar in the world lol, an Yamaha F310. It may be cheap but its has a really good sound, BUT from day one everytime i try to riff a little bit the strings sort of touch other frets, like i do a small riff on the 3rd fret, the strings sort of vibrate on the other ones. at first i thought that the strings weren't suited properly for that guitar but im still using the ones that came with it and the guys from the shop said that their are the right ones! I dont know exactly how to describe it in english lol so i really hope you guys got the picture.. can anyone help me??? regards PS.: i've been doing some research about them and i'd like to buy some polished strings to avoid the nasty sounds of the fingers and at the same time better sliding across the frets....can you guys advise me on whats the better brand??

Hi there!
I guess you mean the vibration of the adjacent strings when you play certain notes, if that's the case then try to not to use so much volume and keep away from the sound source(amp, speaker, etc) Because probably you're only expiriencing some unwanted feedback and that's not a big trouble if you know how to handle it, also be sure tu use a nice muting technique of both hands.
The nasty sound of the fingers when you do slides is just normal and has never ment to be eliminated, for what I know!
Regards.
Cesar.

You mean... You hit like a G and get a buzz sound from the string touching the fret wire? If so, maybe the strings are set too low. I don't have an acoustic, but I've had problems like that before with my electric.
