This was the first time I had ever attended a Joe Satriani show and, oh..my.. god.. it will not be the last.
From listening to Joe Satriani's music I kinda knew what to expect but it blew me away
The show was incredible!
Paul Gilbert opened up first and he was on fire! he almost stole the show hahaha.
The set-list was awesome, I loved Cryin' and Time Machine the most I think. but also some of the newer stuff which was pretty much new to me as I have yet to purchase his latest album, but all the more it was great.
I got to meet him before the show, got stuff signed etc
got a chance to ask questions etc, we had a few laughs it was great!

I asked Joe about his Satchurator pedal and how it works for him on all of his songs and if he ever goes back to his DS-1 from time to time: he doesn't he hasn't used his DS-1 in a year. I might have to look into testing one of these...
He asked me who we would like to see in the next G3: I told him Guthrie Govan or Greg Howe to be different and he seemed to like the idea so who knows!
I was wearing my DW Got Riffs? T-shirt, he and the tour manager taking our photo noticed it, They seemed to find that funny too hahaha
